Promotion Criteria

Promotion Policy
  • The promotion of a student does not depend on the result of a single Annual Examination, but on the following conditions:
    • The student should have made satisfactory progress in all subjects during the year.
    • All students MUST pass in English; a failure in English cannot be granted promotion.
    • The minimum marks required for promotion are 50% throughout the school session.
  • If a student fails to qualify for promotion but has shown good progress in the year’s work, he/she will be permitted to repeat the class only once.
  • If a student fails in four or more subjects in the year’s average, he/she will not be retained in the school.
  • Strict disciplinary action will be taken against any student who is found to have used unfair means in the class tests or examinations.
  • Every student must have 75% attendance of the total prescribed number of working days in order to be eligible to appear for the school examinations.
Progress Report
  • Parents are kept informed of the academic performance of their ward through Unit Tests conducted for all classes.
  • Progress is recorded in:
    • The student’s diary
    • The Teacher’s Diary
    • The office Master Marks Register
  • The Principal checks each student’s Progress Record periodically and provides special remarks at the end of each term.
  • Formal report cards are issued:
    • At the end of the Half Yearly Examinations in November
    • Re-issued after the Final Examinations in April with year-end percentage, rank (from Class V upwards), and promotion status
  • Toppers of each class are awarded Medals on result declaration day.
Withdrawal Policy
  • One month’s written notice must be submitted to the Principal for withdrawal of a student.
  • Transfer Certificate (TC) will be issued only after full payment of:
    • Annual Fees
    • Tuition Fees
    • Other dues
Otherwise, the TC will be withheld.
  • Government employees transferred by official orders are expected to pay only the Term’s fees at the time of leaving.
  • The Principal reserves the right to ask a parent to withdraw their child from the school at any time, with or without assigning any reason, if deemed in the best interest of the school.
